about

No man has the right to be proud that he is preserving the ignorance of others. - Ted Nelson, Computer Lib Dream Machines

Intelligence is for the people, by the people. History is a series of big things becoming smaller things. Whether it be excavators or computers, the small always thrive.

ibi is an entertainment company. We value art, we value the past, and we look to the future through the past. We build games using in-house machine learning. We document extensively what we build. We believe small data, small compute, and small models can produce surreal games. That's why our 'intelligence' is so itty bitty.

Our team consists of writers, ex-researchers, those experienced in traditional video game studios, and those who have spat out the tiniest of things. Everything we build, train, or design, we do it all in-house.

To all things small!

Why "itty bitty"? In 1976, Ted Nelson opened a retail store called Itty Bitty Machines. It pushed the personal computer at a time when personal computers were rare. It was a jive at "IBM", the big, conglomerate computing company at the time.
